Ozet
Maceraya düşkün bir genç olan Ash, sevgilisi Linda ile ormanlık bir bölgedeki bir barakaya gider. Bu ısız yerde kimse onları rahatsız etmeyecektir. Orada, bir profesörün "Ölüler Kitabı" adlı eserden okurken kaydettiği videoyu izlemeye başlarlar. Sadece bir eğlence, bir değişiklik olsun diye seyretmeye başladıkları bu video onların başına akla gelmeyecek bir felaketi getirecektir. Videonun bahsettiği lanet, bu ıssız ormanda ortaya çıkan şeytani bir güce dönüşür ve Linda'yı etkisi altına alarak onu deadite adlı korkunç bir yaratığa dönüştürür. Sevgilisi Ash'da onun gibi bir canavara dönüşecektir. Tam bu sırada o hikayeyi okuyan profesörün kızı ve arkadaşları da kulübeye gelirler ve böylece inanılmaz korkunç olaylar başlar.
