Ozet
Takvimler 1862 yılını gösterirken, pilot Amelia Wren ve bilim insanı James Glaisher, daha önce kimsenin yapmaya cesaret edemediği bir şeyi denemeye karar verir. Göklerin sırlarını keşfetmek isteyen ikili sıcak hava balonu ile daha önce hiç çıkılmamış bir yüksekliğe çıkmaya çalışır. Gökyüzünde nefes kesici keşifler yapan Wren ve Glaisher, atmosferin en yüksek noktalarına ulaştıklarında hayatta kalmak için zorlu bir mücadele vermek zorunda kalır.
