Ozet
1950'li yılların New York'una gittiğimiz Motherless Brooklyn, Lionel Essrog isimli bir dedektifi hikayesinin odağına alıyor. Essrog, Tourette Sendromu denilen bir rahatsızlıktan muzdariptir. Bir yandan sendromun yarattığı ani tiklerle mücadele ederken diğer yandan arkadaşı Frank Minna'nın ölümünü araştırması gerekmektedir. Elinde yalnızca birkaç ipucu ve bir saat gibi çalışan zihni vardır. Lionel'in tüm şehri dengede tutan sırları çözmek için uğraş verecektir..
