Kuzey Atlantik’te seyir halinde bulunan, 800 kamaralı, 13 güverteli Poseidon gemisi yılbaşı eğlencesi için hazır durumdadır. Balo salonunda toplanan kalabalık birazdan başlarına gelecek felaketten habersiz eğlenmektedir. 30 metreyi aşan bir dalga, gemiyi alaşağı eder. Çöken kolonlar, çıkan yangınlar büyük bir karmaşaya neden olur. Sağ kalanların bir an evvel emin bir yol bulup gemiden çıkmaları gerekmektedir.
