Ozet
Teğmen Frank Drebin, Los Angeles Polise Teşkilatı'na bağlı bir birimde çalışan sakar bir dedektiftir. En yakın arkadaşı ve ortağı Dedektif Nordberg bir operasyon sırasında vurulunca tatilini yarıda bırakıp Los Angeles'a döner. Araştırması sırasında olayın Vincent Ludwig isimli bir iş adamının planını keşfeder. Ludwig, bir beyzbol oyuncusunun beynini yıkamayı ve Kraliçe Elizabeth'i Los Angeles gezisi sırasında öldürmeyi planlamaktadır.
