13 Mart 1964 tarihinde gece 3’te işinden eve dönerken seri katil William Moseley tarafından tecavüz etmek için bıçakla tehdit edilip, bağırarak yardım isteyince defalarca bıçaklanarak öldürülen Kitty Genovese’nin hikayesi. Kitty bağırarak yardım isterken buna kulak veren 38 (?) görgü tanığının “Nasılsa birileri polisi aramıştır” düşüncesiyle polisi aramadığı ve sosyal psikolojide “Bystander effect” adıyla literatüre giren Kitty Genovese’nin hikayesi, abisi William'ın sayesinde yeniden aydınlanıyor.

This is a very well made film. I grew up hearing about the story of Kitty Genovese, but the facts that are widely accepted as truth aren't accurate. This film puts the record straight. There are some surprises, and the ending reenactment was heart wrenching.
