Ozet
Astronot Sam Bell, Lunar Industries şirketi ile üç senelik bir kontrata imza atmıştır. Sözleşme gereği gezegenimizi besleyen önemli enerji kaynaklarından olan Helium-3 madenini Ay'ın yüzeyinden çıkaracak tesisin tek sorumlusu olacaktır. Bu meşakkatli görevde tek yardımcısı Gerty adındaki bir robottur. Sam Ay’da kendine ait bir rutin yaratmıştır. Günlerini sessizlik içinde geçiren Sam eve dönmesine üç hafta kala bir kaza geçirir. Uyandığında yalnız olmadığını fark edecektir.
