The Dead Pool
Ozet
San Francisco'da ünlü isimlerin birer birer öldürülmesiyle polis dedektifi Harry Callahan (namıdiğer Kirli Harry), yeni bir cinayet soruşturmasının içine çekilir. Cinayetlerin ardında, ünlülerin ölümlerine dair yapılan gizli bir bahis oyunu – yani bir “ölüm kumarı” vardır. Bu oyunun yaratıcısı, ünlü bir film yönetmeni olan Swan’dır. Listeye göre yıl sonuna kadar hangi ünlülerin öleceği tahmin edilmektedir. Ancak işler ciddiye biner; listedeki isimler gerçekten ölmeye başlar ve Callahan kendi adının da listede olduğunu öğrenir. Cinayetleri araştırırken bir yandan intikam peşindeki bir mafya babasıyla uğraşmak, diğer yandan da kendisine ilgi duyan TV muhabiri Samantha ile yakınlaşmak zorundadır. Olaylar ilerledikçe Swan'ın sadece bir hedef olduğu, gerçek katilin ise takıntılı bir psikopat olduğu ortaya çıkar. Callahan sonunda katili limanda kıstırır ve adaleti bir kez daha kendi yöntemleriyle sağlar.

Harry is getting older and this movie is just a good combination of most of the (bad) 80's ingredients. We now have the typical asian Kung Fu fighter as Harry's partner and a horrible synthesizer sound track. Good thing about this forgettable movie, however, is the cast. We get to see Liam Nee...

I don't care what other people think of the film--I love the Dirty Harry movies...ALL of them. Yes, it would have been much better if Eastwood himself had directed it, but the supporting cast is great.
